By AccessWDUN Staff

BUFORD — Kell sophomore phenom Scoota Henderson's 6-0 run that ended with an earth-shattering dunk late in the fourth quarter was just enough to close the lid on Buford's rally in a 57-45 win in the quarterfinals of the Class 5A tournament at Buford City Arena on Wednesday.

Henderson didn't lead the Longhorns in scoring but finished with 14 points. He found himself in foul trouble in the third quarter and spent some time on the sidelines. But when he was in the game, he provided those in attendance with some highlights.

Nathan Colon poured in 18 points to lead the Longhorns.

Buford's only lead of the game was 2-0 at the start of the first quarter. After that, it was all Kell, holding the Wolves to just 16 points in the first half while taking a 30-16 advantage into the locker room at the break.

In the second half, Buford as close as four points twice and outpaced the Longhorns 17-10 in the third quarter. But the Longhorns outlasted the Wolves in the final 8 minutes, hitting 7-of-9 free throws to ice the game.

Caleb Williams led the Wolves with 15 points, and Sebastion Augustave had 13 points.

The Wolves finish the season 22-7.
