Lumpkin County firefighters and emergency personnel responded to a fire that destroyed a home on Kim Drive Thursday night.
“It was totally engulfed when we arrived on scene,” said Lumpkin County Fire Chief David Wimpy, who also serves as director of the county’s emergency medical services and emergency management agency.
“The house was a total loss,” Wimpy said Friday afternoon. “We are investigating the cause of the fire now.”
