GAINESVILLE — Dylan Carter scored 24 points and Eli Chol had 14 to set the pace early for Forsyth Central en route to a 54-51 win over Gainesville Tuesday night.
Robert Reisman led the Red Elephants (4-4, 1-1 Region 6-7A) with 22 points. Eli Pitts had 14.
The Bulldogs (3-3, 1-1 Region 6-7A) outscored the Red Elephants 31-21 in the first half behind Chol, who scored 8 first-quarter points, and Carter's 9 points in the second quarter pushed the lead to 10 points at the break.
Gainesville struggled early on but found a groove in the third quarter. Reisman scored 10 of his 22 points to helped the Red Elephants to close the gap, 46-39.
Dylan Bobga added 7 points, while Jimmie Jackson scored 6 and Luke Blackburn had 2.
The Red Elephants travel to Denmark on Friday. Game time is set for 8:30 p.m.

JT Fulkrod scored 24 points to lead the Dragons (2-2) to the win over Banks County (3-3) at home on Tuesday.
After a slow first half that saw the Dragons take a 16-15 lead into the locker room at the half, Jefferson outscored the Leopards 19-5 in the third quarter to take a 35-20 lead.
The third quarter output was enough to hit cruise control in the final period.
Spencer Darby added 12 points and Riley Holliman had 9 for the Dragons.
Pierce Martin led the Leopards with 14 points.

Sophomores Dudley Dickson and Cayden Lord combined for 29 points in the Tigers' (1-3) loss to Oconee County at home on Tuesday.
Dickson scored 17 points, and Lord added 12 points.
