Friday Game Night top performers in Week 4

Mother Nature may have forced the cancellation or postponement of some games across the area Friday night, but she didn’t wash all of them away. 

The weather also didn’t stop the area’s athletes from showcasing their talents as they put up some big numbers in Week 4.

Riverside’s Shad Dabney was tough to catch, leading the area in rushing with 244 yards. Chestatee quarterback Christian Charles was just as explosive, leading the area in total yards with 361, and Union QB Pierson Allison was tops in the area 268 yards passing yards.

Friday Game Night Top Performers:

-- Dabney’s ground game was elusive, ending the night with 20 carries for 244 yards in Riverside’s win over Johnson.

-- Charles finished 18-of-28 for 213 yards with 2 TDs and 2 INTs for Chestatee. He also had 148 yards and two more scores on the ground to help lead the War Eagles past East Hall.

-- Chestatee running back Hunter Chambers pounded out 192 yards rushing and added two big catches for another 23 yards in the War Eagles’ first win of the season.

-- White County’s J. Ben Haynes completed 14-of-23 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns and added another 125 yards rushing and two scores in the win. 

-- White County’s Mason Thomas hauled in 125 yards on four catches and a touchdown.

-- BoJack Dowdy rushed for 153 yards and two touchdowns to lead Lumpkin County to its first win Friday night. 

-- Lanier Christian Academy quarterback Andrew Perry rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown in the Lighting's 28-20 win at Fullington Academy Friday night.

-- Union County’s Pierson Allison finished the night 14-of-24 with 268 yards passing and four touchdowns in 33-14 win over Fannin County.

-- Union County’s Jonah Daniel led the Panthers’ ground game with 118 yards on 13 carries in the win over Fannin County.
