Ellingham and Stockton top FGN Week 7 top performer list

Week 7 brought the area some interesting region contests, massive blowouts and big numbers. 

Flowery Branch’s Jaizen Ellingham provided some of those big numbers and highlights in the Falcons Region 7-4A opener against White County. The junior running back was tough to tackle for Warriors, rushing 35 times for 302 yards and four touchdowns in the 45-20 win. Ellingham's rushing stats led the area. 

Rabun’s Gunner Stockton was just as impressive. The state’s No. 1 quarterback in his class threw for 354 yards and four touchdowns and added another 86 yards rushing and three more scores in a win over Banks County on Friday. Stockton’s performance was tops for a quarterback in the area. 

Friday Game Night Top Performers:

-- Union’s Pierson Allison was 14-for-22 with 280 yards passing with four touchdowns. He added another 41 yards rushing on seven carries. 

-- Sawyer Drake hauled in seven passes for 151 yards and two scores in Union County’s win Friday night.

-- White County’s J Ben Haynes rushed 17 times for 112 and a touchdown. He was 17-for-27 passing with 166 yards and a touchdown.  

-- Dawson County’s Dahkota Sonnichsen caught 6 passes for 137 yards and three scores in the Tigers’ win over East Hall Friday. 

-- Isaiah Grindle rushed 12 times for 111 yards and two touchdowns in Dawson County's win over East Hall.

-- Lanier Christian’s Isaiah Williams rushed for 118 yards.

-- Cherokee Bluff’s Jayquan Smith finished the night with 76 rushing yards and 114 receiving yards,

-- Riverside’s Shad Dabney rushed for two scores and 57 yards and passed for another 183 yards. -- Adriel Clark hauled in 183 yards and three touchdowns, passed for 106 yards and a touchdown and scored on a 5-yard run late in the game in Riverside’s win over Towns County. 

-- Rabun County’s Gunner Stockton threw for 354 yards and four touchdowns and added another 86 yards rushing and three more scores.

-- Braxton Hicks had six catches for 122 yards to lead the Rabun County’s receiving corp Friday night.

-- Buford’s Jarvis Evans set a Buford team-record with 213 yards passing on a perfect 8-for-8 in the first half as the Wolves rolled past Johnson 56-7.
