GAINESVILLE — Chestatee senior running back Hunter Chambers rushed for 192 yards and a touchdown to help lead the War Eagles past East Hall in the weather-delayed marathon Friday night at East Hall Stadium.
The War Eagles and Vikings waited out almost a two-hour weather delay to finish the game around midnight on Friday. It was the War Eagles' first win of the season.
Chestatee coach Shaun Conley and Chambers discussed the big night for the War Eagles and the massive performance from the War Eagles' senior running back.
Chambers steady work and persistence in Friday night's win over the Vikings earned him the Conditioned Air Systems Gaining the Edge honors.
