OAKWOOD — West Hall evened its record at 4-4 after taking a pair of wins at home on Thursday.
The Lady Spartans knocked off Rabun County 25-19, 25-17 and then rallied from a one-set deficit to beat Dawson County 18-25, 25-20, 15-11.
Cadie Shirley had 15 kills, 10 digs, and 9 aces to pace West Hall. Kinsey Wilson added 12 kills and 12 digs, Kaitlyn Courson and Chloe Radich combined for 34 assists, and Cassidy Klekot had 5 blocks for the Lady Spartans.
West Hall next will travel to White County on Tuesday in a Region 7-4A match.
BUFORD SWEEPS
The Lady Wolves swept a tri-match with Dunwoody and West Forsyth.
Buford won a deciding third set to knock off Dunwoody 25-13, 18-25, 15-10 and then spiked West Forsyth 25-14, 25-11 in the second match.
Mikayla Hayden and Kiana Polk both paced Buford during the tri-match.
BRANCH SPLITS
The Lady Falcons split withMonroe Area and North Oconee.
Flowery Branch beat Monroe Area 25-18, 25-19 but fell to North Oconee 25-22, 25-17 in the nightcap.
Katie Williams had 20 kills and Sierra Lutz had eight kills to lead Flowery Branch

LADY LIGHTNING GET REGION WIN
Lanier Christian Academy pulled out its first region win of the 2019 season in its first home match of the season. The Lady Lightning dominated Westminster Christian Academy sweeping the best-of-five match 25-14, 25-19, 25-11.
