Gasoline prices continue to move downward, which is unusual for this time of year when the more expensive summer blend gasoline is making its way to the pumps and when demand is up for summer travel.
In their weekly updates, both AAA-Auto Club South and GasBuddy are showing a drop of about 4-cents per gallon from this time last week in Georgia.
AAA's website says the statewide average is $2.60 per gallon, down from $2.64 a week ago and down from $2.73 a month ago. The average price at Hall County gas pumps is $2.59 per gallon. The least expensive gasoline in the state can be found at gas stations in Northwest Georgia.
GasBuddy's average is $2.55 per gallon. GasBuddy surveyed more than 5,800 outlets across the state to calculate the statewide average.
