Investigators are trying to determine what caused a house fire that killed a woman in north Hall County Tuesday afternoon.
Hall County Fire Division Chief Zach Brackett said firefighters responded to the duplex in the 100 block of Clarks Bridge Road to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the 1,500 square foot building.
Crews searched the interior of the structure and found one person deceased inside.
Brackett said 73-year-old Janis Gilman died inside the home.
The resident who lived in the other side of the duplex was displaced and plans to stay with friends.
