The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) said a traffic shift is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon as the widening of State Route 13 continues.
Traffic will be moved over along SR 13 between Thunder Road and State Route 347/Lake Lanier Islands Parkway prior to noon, according to GDOT spokeswoman Katie Strickland. She said motorists will be transitioned to the news lanes after 2 p.m.
"Traffic will now use the recently constructed lanes while the former travel lanes are rebuilt," Strickland said in a press statement.
