The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will be temporarily closing the existing temporary lane merging onto the new roundabout at the intersection of SR 115 and SR 105 while they work on the more permanent merging lane.
The new changes will take place beginning on Friday morning, weather permitting.
GDOT is in the process of opening a new configuration lane merging into the roundabout. The department said they will continue to work throughout the area until final construction is completed in Spring of 2025.
GDOT warns motorists to be cautious and to reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, stay alert, and watch for workers.
