Boys basketball: Dawson beats NHall; EHall knocks off Johnson; Lakeview falls

DAWSONVILLE — Jasper Gibson and Mason Barnes combined for 45 points to lead Dawson County past North Hall, 68-36, on Friday at the Ford Phillips Center.

Gibson had a game-high 28 points while Barnes tossed in 17.

Robert Terry led the Trojans with 11 points.

North Hall (6-3, 2-2 Region 7-3A) will travel to Johnson on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Dawson County (8-1, 3-0 Region 7-3A) will host The King's Academy in the North Georgia Showcase on Saturday. Game time is 8 p.m.

JOHNSON 45

Aaron Thomas scored 14 points and Malachi Vance had 10 in the Vikings win over Johnson on Friday in Oakwood.

Jess Harbin led Johnson with a game-high 22 points.

East Hall (2-5, 0-3 Region 7-3A) will play Stephens County on Saturday at home. Game time is 6:30 p.m. Johnson (2-7, 0-0 Region 8-5A) will play Monroe Area in the North Georgia Showcase at Dawson County. Tipoff is 5 p.m.


FRANKLIN, NC 66,
LAKEVIEW 64

Franklin, NC outscored the Lions in the second half 33-23 to take the win on Friday at Lakeview. The Lions led 37-33 at the break but couldn't overcome in the second half.

Sam Stewart led the Lions with 13 points, while Declan Weidner had 12 and Roman Yaskulka chipped in 11.

The Lions will play Rabun Gap on Saturday at home. Game time is 2:30 p.m.
