JEFFERSON — Jefferson used a 24-6 opening frame to grab control and then cruised to the win Saturday in the Tabo's Tipoff Classic at The Arena.
Owen Parker led a balanced Dragons (2-1) attack with 15 points. Spencer Darby and Jacob Radaker each poured 11 points and Daniel Parker had 10 points for Jefferson (2-1).
The Falcons (2-1) did outscore Jefferson 29-23 over the second and third quarters to get as close as 47-35 heading into the final period. But the Dragons hit 21-of-26 free throws for the game to keep the Falcons at bay.
Judson Burney had 16 points, 10 coming in the first half, to lead The Branch. Trey Shaw chipped in 8 points for the Falcons.

Dawson County outscored Creekview 28-11 in the fourth quarter to rally for the win in the Raider Classic Saturday.
Mason Barnes had 23 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists to lead the Tigers. Jasper Gibson added 17 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists and Campbell Reed had 11 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists for Dawson County.
Eli Burrus just missed on a double-double with 7 points and 10 rebounds, and Max Tierney had 6 points and 12 rebounds.
