CLEVELAND — White County didn't go down easy against defending Class 4A champion Blessed Trinity.
The Warriors only trailed 14-6 at the half and irritated the Titans all night, but offense was tough to come by in a 35-6 loss Friday night at Warrior Stadium.
Andrew Pierce gave the Warriors their only lead of the game in the first quarter with a 27-yard field goal -- one of two FGs -- the other a 22-yard kick late in the first half.
But BT's Elijah Greene was tough to stop. Green rushed for 175 yards on 18 carries, including a 61-yard scoring run to answer the Warrior field goal in the first quarter. Green added two more scores, a 2-yard run in the second quarter and another in the third quarter.
Justice Haynes added 76 yards on seven carries and a 30-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.
J Ben Haynes was 19-of-38 for 214 yards and another 66 yards on the ground for White County. Cooper Turner caught seven passes for 87 yards and Jesse Thomas finished with four catches for 76 yards.
