With the first college application deadlines fast approaching, WalletHub has issued a new list ranking Georgia's best colleges and universities.
Two schools from the North Georgia area are on the list - Piedmont College in Demorest and Brenau University in Gainesville.
To compile the rankings, WalletHub compared more than 1,000 higher education institutions in the United States based on 33 key measures grouped into seven categories such as student selectivity, cost and financing and career outcomes. The data set ranges from student-faculty ratio to graduation rate to post-attendance median salary.
