Hall County authorities have released the name of a woman shot in the face during an incident on Marlow Drive Wednesday night.
Investigators said in a written press release 37-year-old Yanira Smith-Rodriguez remains in criticial but stable condition at Grady Hospital in Atlanta.
They said the woman's family had been notified of the shooting.
Smith-Rodriguez was sitting in a vehicle outside a residence with a male companion when an unknown male suspect walked up to the vehicle and opened fire.
Investigators have released no further information on the case.
The suspect remains at large.
