The Georgia State Patrol are releasing more details about a fatal pedestrian accident on Interstate 85 southbound Tuesday.
Troopers said in the incident report that Stephen Macgregor Norris, 23, of Cumming, had parked in the emergency lane out of the southbound traffic lanes near mile marker 130 and stepped out into traffic with his arms raised.
Norris was struck by a tractor trailer, according to the report, in the right, southbound lane.
The incident happened just before 2 p.m. in Jackson County. Troopers were on the scene around midnight working to finish the investigation.
