Oakwood clinic closed as doctor admits to sexual battery

The Oakwood Medical Clinic is now closed after the City of Oakwood revoked the business license as a doctor admitted to inappropriately touching patients.

Police Sgt. Todd Templeton said the license was pulled by the city when it was made aware that Dr. Basil Anderson had lost his license to practice medicine.

The medical license was revoked as a result of Anderson pleading no contest to allegations he inappropriately touched a patient and made sexually explicit comments. The official charge was sexually battery dating back to 2015.

Templeton said Anderson was made aware of the medical revocation on July 27 and the city revoked the business license on August 2.

Templeton said there is no evidence Anderson saw any patients after the July revocation.
