The funeral for former Hall County Tax Commissioner Keith Echols will be held Saturday at 2:00 at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Echols, 69, died Wednesday at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
He was the owner of Echols Bookkeeping and Tax Service at the time of his death. Echols retired in December 2012 as Hall County Tax Commissioner after having served three terms.
Darla Eden, who succeeded Echols as Tax Commissioner, spoke with AccessWDUN and said of Echols, "Although I didn't have the pleasure of working directly with Mr. Echols, I sincerely appreciate and respect the love, respect and help that he demonstrated to our residents on a daily basis for 12 years. I admire him greatly and hope to carry on that legacy."
