An investigation continues into a fire at a Gainesville salvage yard, although investigators said it appears the fire was sparked by "misuse of an ignition source."
Hall County Fire Services Captain Zachary Brackett did not offer other details into the possible cause of the fire that burned some vehicles as well as a patch of brush on the property.
Brackett told AccessWDUN the fire started just before 5 p.m. near the intersection of Skelton Road and Spring Road.
"We did have some issues making access to it initially," Brackett said. "Because of all the cars we had to put hoses through several vehicles on the property and then rapidly extinguish the fire."
Brackett said five salvage cars were damaged.
No one was injured.
