*Forsyth County Senior Services is seeking donations of gently used handbags, purses, and wallets for the upcoming handbag auction that will benefit older adults in need. The auction will be held at Sexton Hall Enrichment Center on Saturday, April 28 from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
 
*The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia’s Doggie Eggstravaganza is March 31 from 9:00-10:30 at 845 West Ridge Road in Gainesville.  All proceeds will go to HSNEGA’s Brenda Graves Animal Care Fund. *The Historic Train Museum in Downtown Cornelia will now be open seven days a week. New hours will be Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

*Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.) announces that Timothy Leurart of Ball Ground, a student at Riverside Military Academy, has been accepted to the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY.
