Two teenagers from Blairsville have been arrested in a Fannin County murder.
Nelly Miles with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) said Blake Dickey AKA Blake Dye, 15, and Hunter Hill, 15, have been charged with one count of murder in the death of Justin McKinney, 33, of Morganton.
Miles said the GBI was called at 1:38 a.m. Tuesday to assist the Fannin County Sheriff's Office with the investigation.
"At approximately 12:50 a.m., the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the area of Elrod Lane, Morganton, Fannin County, Georgia. Deputies were dispatched to the area as a result of a 911 call in which the caller indicated she and a male subject were shot," Miles wrote in a press statement.
Miles said when deputies arrived, they found McKinney dead. The woman, Anna Franklin, 35, of Morganton was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Both Dye and Hill were taken to the Elbert Shaw Regional Detention Center where they remained in custody.
Miles said other charges are pending against both suspects.
