It's no secret the Chestatee War Eagles struggled last season, winning a total of 7 games.
In less than a year, the War Eagles have turned things around. Why? The answer is in Cameron Gwynn. Last week, the senior led the War Eagles in scoring, averaging 17-7 pointers per game. He also nailed 13 shots from behind the arc and ripped down 12 boards in three games last week. The War Eagles are 6-1.
For that reason, Gwynn has been named this week’s Conditioned Air Systems Athlete of the Week.
We had a chance to catch up with Gwynn to talk about his play and how the team has improved since last season. We also talked with coach Kevin Strickland about Gwynn's hot-hand and the turnaround of the program.
