GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Chestatee senior forward Colton Wilbanks has been a scoring and rebound machine his entire career in Sardis.
The 6-foot-6 forward, who can shoot from the outside, inside, and anywhere on the floor, is averaging close to 31 points per game and 13 rebounds this season for the War Eagles.
Last week, Wilbanks averaged close to 40 ppg and 13 rpg, and he's quite the dunker.
"Colton has more high school dunks than I have points," Chestatee coach Alan Griffin said. "So, for him, it is truly another basketball play, but that's his whole personality. He's worried about winning the game, and yes, sometimes that dunk gives us an edge in the game, but he's more worried about getting back on defense and playing his defensive role. He knows he just scored a point for his team. In his mind, I don't think it really matters how he does it as long as he does it."
