By AccessWDUN Staff

All it took was a 4th quarter explosion Monday night to push the Lanier Christian Academy Lightning past Old Suwanee Christian School, 51-32.

Madison Hughes scored 14 points and Faith Wasden had 10 to lead LCA to the win on the road.

Wasden and Ashley Avery battled in the paint hauling in 7 rebounds each. Avery added 7 points and 4 steals.

Lexie Robertson played the robber role for the Lightning with 10 steals. She also chipped in 4 points.

LCA (3-3) and Old Suwanee (2-2) battled back-and-forth through three quarters, but a 20-5 4th quarter run boosted the Lightning to the win.

Logan Wilson finished the night with 8 points, 2 boards and 3 steals. Shelby Ham chipped in 4 points, and Hollie Beussee and Reece Montgomery had 2 points each.

LCA will play Cherokee Christian Friday. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
