TALLULAH FALLS — A tractor-trailer truck overturned in Tallulah Falls Friday afternoon, injuring its two occupants and blocking a busy highway.
The wreck occurred on U.S. 441/Ga. 15 between the ends of Main Street leading to downtown about noon Friday, with the overturned rig blocking all lanes of Ga. 15.
The southbound flatbed tractor-trailer went out of control due to its speed, began to rotate, then overturned, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
The occupants of the truck were transported for treatment of what GSP called non-life-threatening injuries.
During the backup and subsequent detour, officers also responded to two other minor wrecks.
