Rabun County advanced to the Class AA-A Public quarterfinals with a solid 3-0 victory over Armuchee Wednesday in the second round of the girls volleyball playoffs.
The Lady Wildcats, the No. 1 seed from Area 8-AA-A, next will take on Area 5-AA-A champion Harlem in the quarterfinals on the road on Saturday.
Gainesville, however, was able to move on in Class 6A.The Lady Red Elephants season came to an end in Acworth in a loss to Allatoona
Gainesville was swept by the Lady Buccaneers 25-17, 25-13, 25-15 and finished its season with a 23-23 record.
