It's been two weeks since Tropical Storm Irma plowed through North Georgia, but clean-up is ongoing.
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) plans to close an 11-mile stretch of Richard B. Russell Scenic Highway (SR 384) Tuesday and Wednesday to remove storm debris.
GDOT spokeswoman Katie Strickland said the closure of the highway will allow for easier, safer and quicker removal of downed trees and other storm debris.
The closures will be in place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days in White and Towns counties.
