CLEVELAND -- The Georgia Department of Transportation reports that the Appalachian Parkway Phase 2 in Cleveland will be opened to traffic next week.
Katie Strickland, District One communications officer for GDOT in Gainesville, said the portion of the road north of Cleveland at the intersection of Highway 129 and Hulsey Road was getting the final smooth topping, striping and finishing touches Monday.
Strickland said a grand opening and ribbon-cutting on Phase 2 of the Appalachian Parkway will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 26.
