A scheduled traffic shift will be taking place on a heavily trafficked highway in Barrow County.
According to the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), State Route (SR) 211 at the double roundabout project in Braselton near exit 126 off of Interstate 85 is where the shift will occur.
The shift will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather-permitting.
Northbound SR 211 traffic will be shifted to the right of the new median to allow contractors to begin tying in the new median for its final configuration.
New turn lanes for access to businesses along the highway will also be opened, and the new traffic signal at the intersection will be fully operational.
Motorists are urged to pay close attention to signage, consider alternate routes, and drive with caution.
The shift signifies the nearing completion of the double roundabout project.
