The driver of a Cadillac Deville was killed in a Saturday morning crash on Dawsonville Highway (SR 53) at Jay Mountain Road.
The Hall County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to the scene around 9:20 a.m.
When they arrived, they found the vehicle - which had been traveling westbound on Dawsonville Highway - had left the roadway and hit an embankment and several trees.
The driver, the only occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene. The name of the victim has not yet been released.
Authorities say no other vehicles were involved.
The accident remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Unit.
