CLEVELAND -- The White County woman accused of leaving a 1-year-old child unattended in a car in the Walmart parking lot in Cleveland Wednesday has been arrested.

Cleveland Police Lt. Aaron Wieland said officers arrested 24-year-old Brelyn Dover Thursday afternoon.

According to Wieland, Dover was charged with cruelty to children and reckless conduct.

The unattended child was observed by a citizen, who called 9-1-1 Wednesday.

When officers arrived on scene, they got the child out of the car and he was checked out by medical personnel and except for being red and hot, was ok, Wieland said.

Wieland said the child was taken into protective custody and turned over to the Department of Family and Children’s Services.
