CLEVELAND — The City of Cleveland has announced the top candidate for the position of city manager.

In a news release, the city identified the sole finalist as Tom O'Bryant, who currently is serving as director of community and economic development for White County, a position he has held since 2006.

A total of 29 applications were received for the position. The city council chose four people to interview. Following those interviews, O'Bryant was selected as the top candidate.
