The Georgia State Patrol has released the name of the man who was killed in a motorcycle crash on Georgia 400 Friday afternoon.
Charles Arnold Painter, 46, of Hapeville, reportedly was speeding on Georgia 400 near the Lumpkin/Dawson County line when a trooper began to pursue him. Troopers said Painter was weaving in and out of traffic and hit a vehicle at Dawson 400 Circle.
The occupants of the car were not injured.
The fatal crash occurred around 2 p.m. Friday, May 26.
