By Caleb Hutchins Assistant News Director

A former Hall County high school student that was recently extradited from California is being held in the Hall County jail on charges of rape and aggravated child molestation.

Braselton Police Chief Terry Esco said 18-year-old Jeremiah Osaze Goss is the subject of an investigation stemming from at least one incident that occurred in Braselton when Goss was a student at Flowery Branch High School several years ago. Esco said Goss moved to California to finish high school but city investigators, with the help of the Hall County District Attorney's Office, extradited him back to Hall County for the investigation.

Esco said the investigation is ongoing but he said more charges could be pending. He said authorities expect to be able to release more information early next week.

Goss played for the Flowery Branch High School football team during the 2013 and 2014 seasons.
