ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — University of North Georgia men's golfer Matt Elliott carded a final round four-under 68 to claim individual medalist honors at the 2017 Peach Belt Conference Championship on Sunday at The Slammer & Squire Course at The World Golf Village.

Elliott, ranked No. 48 in GolfStat's individual rankings, becomes the first North Georgia golfer to win the individual championship and his first place finish also earns the junior from Wilkesboro, N.C. a spot on the 2017 PBC All-Tournament team.

As a team, the Nighthawks posted a final round 308 for a 54-hole total of 923 as the Nighthawks finished in 11th place out of 11 teams.

No. 16 USC Aiken (870) captured the PBC team title by nine strokes over sixth-ranked Lander (879), with No. 18 Young Harris (881), No. 27 Georgia College (884) and No. 32 Columbus State (886) rounding out the top five teams.
