Track: RMA wins Allatoona Invitational

ACWORTH — The Riverside Military Academy track team, fresh off a third-place showing at the Hall County Championships last week, won the Allatoona Track and Field Invitational on Thursday.

Riverside finished with 117.5 points to nip North Cobb (113.5) for the team title in the 10-team field. Host Allatoona was third with 102.5 points.

The field consisted of teams from Class A to Class AAAAAA and is usually a strong barometer as teams prepare region and sectionals in the coming weeks.

Charles Dimnwaobi led the Eagles on the track winning the 200-meter run with a 22.42 time and finishing third in the 100-meter. James Brubeck paced the Eagles in the fied winning the pole vault with a leap of 13-feet and finishing second in th discus with a toss of 113-05 feet. Dimnwaobi also finished in a tie for third with teammate Daniel Bennett-Blake in the high jump

Leland Breskow finished fourth in the 800-meters and fifth in the 1600. Demarko Hooper was second in the 300-hurdles. He finished fifth in the 110-hurdles.

Issac Teasley tied for fourth in the long jump and Alfred Ebubechukwudimma took second in the shot put with a heave of 42-02 and was sixth in the discus.

Calide Duke was fourth in the triple jump with a 36-06 jump.
