OAKWOOD — Anna McKendree poured in 33 points to lead the West Hall girls to a 78-54 thumping of Troup County Friday night in the first round of the Class AAA state playoffs at the West Hall gym.
The Lady Spartans (23-5) jumped on Troup County quickly running out to a 25-9 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. They took a 35-18 lead into halftime. West Hall increased the lead to 57-38 heading into the fourth quarter.
Macy Passmore and Avery Prather each added 10 points for West Hall.
Shaqsya Gilbert paced the Lady Tigers (14-12) with 27 points. Kwa Spence chipped in with 15 points for Troup County.
West hall next will take on Columbus in the second at home on Wednesday in what should be one of the premier matchups in Class AAAA in the second round.
