Voters in Lula approved a liquor-by-the-drink referendum this past November. Now, city officials are asking citizens for input as they prepare to update Lula's alcohol ordinance.
The public hearing on the alcohol ordinance is set for Monday, Feb. 13 at 5:30 p.m. at Lula City Hall.
The special election item, approved on Nov. 8, 2016, allows for sale of distilled spirits by the drink at restaurants and other establishments, but city council members now have to outline regulations on how those sales will occur.
Citizens who can't attend the meeting, but have comments to share, can submit their comments in writing prior to the meeting.
