Miami man arrested for alleged molestation of three girls over five-year span in Hall

An apparent chance return to the Hall County Courthouse allowed Hall County deputies to arrest a Miami man on rape and child molestation charges from a prior investigation.

Orlando Enrique Giron Molina, 34, allegedly molested three girls — all of whom were under the age of 10 at the times of the crimes — over a five-year span from 2009 to 2014, said Lt. Scott Ware, Hall County Sheriff's Office spokesman.

Molina, who is from Honduras, showed up at the courthouse Tuesday, apparently thinking he was to have a custody hearing, according to Ware.

Molina's attorney, Mike Weaver, refutes that claim, adding that Molina knew he would be arrested upon entering the courthouse.

"Molina came from Miami on full knowledge of what his charges were, and he came up here to defend himself," said Weaver in a phone interview with AccessWDUN.

The victims' mother contacted law enforcement in March, and Molina was indicted on Nov. 14.

He is charged with three counts of rape, nine counts of child molestation and one count of child cruelty.

Molina also had an immigration hold placed on him, and at last report remained in the Hall County Jail without bond.
