Girls basketball: Lady Falcons knock off NY No. 1 Ossining; Dawson takes out White

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Flowery Branch girls basketball team defeated Ossining -- the No. 1-ranked team in New York -- 67-55 on Monday in in the KSA Holiday Tournament in Orlando, Florida.

Caroline Wysocki paced the Lady Falcons (7-2), scoring 19 points, while Ashley Woodroffe added 15. Taniyah Worth also scored 12, Ashlee Locke 10 and Lexie Sengkhammee 9.

The Branch will next play again in the KSA tournament.

The Lady Tigers grabbed the victory on the road in their third game played in four days on Monday in Cleveland. 

The Lady Warriors actually led 29-28 at the half, but Dawson County poured in 22 third quarter points to take control, 50-38 heading into the fourth.

Anna Lowe put up a season-high 16 points for the Lady Tigers, while Sophia D'Oliveira also had a season-high with 15 points. Calli Watson also scored 13 in the win.

Dawson County travels to West Hall at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Oakwood.
