(UPDATED) Girls basketball: Rabun, Buford stay unbeaten; Chestatee, North Hall win

TIGER — The Rabun County girls remined perfect on the young season after taking a 48-45 win over Union County Tuesday night.

Georgia Stockton paced the Lady Wildcats (4-0) with 14 points, 6 steals, and 5 rebounds. Laken Stiles had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Jaden Quilliams and Kaitlin Coleman had eight points each for Rabun County.

Bailey Daniel led Union County (2-1) with a game-high 16 points.


NORTH HALL GIRLS 78,
WHITE COUNTY 67

Ansleigh Ferguson scored 22 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to help lead the Lady Trojans (2-1) past the Lady Warriors in Cleveland on Tuesday.

Camilla Howell also added 20 points for North Hall, while Grace Hollifield scored 10 and Maci Gillespie scored 8 and provided 7 assists.

North Hall plays host to Commerce on Friday in Gainesville.  


BUFORD GIRLS 70,
MORGAN COUNTY 23

Four players scored in double figures defending the Class AAAAA state champions routed the Lady Bulldogs in Madison.

Tory Ozment and Audrey Weiner each scored 13 points to lead the Lady Wolves (4-0). Kya Styles added 12 and Tate Walters 11 for Buford.

The Lady Wolves will travel to defending Class A Private state champ Wesleyan (4-0) on Saturday in a battle of powerhouse teams.


CHESTATEE GIRLS 52
JOHNSON 23

Chestatee jumped out to a big first quarter lead and then cruised to the win.

Beth Eddins poured in 11 points to lead the Lady War Eagles (2-2). Lindsey Caudell and Christina Garcia each had 10 points for Chestatee.

Nine different players scored for Chestatee.
