A Gainesville dentist has been arrested on drug charges, according to information from the Hall County Sheriff's Office.
Dr. Stephen James Ragone, 62, was charged with cocaine possession after agents with the Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad (MANS) found a baggie of cocaine at his business at 1500 Browns Bridge Road, Suite 106. The agents also said they discovered what they called 'numerous' other bags containing cocaine residue, according to Hall County Sheriff's Office spokesman Dep. Stephen Wilbanks.
"There were approximately eight bags - small bags - that had cocaine residue," Wilbanks said. "It was not bags of the size we see associated with trafficking or anything of that nature."
Wilbanks said MANS agents acted on a tip that led to the arrest, but he could not elaborate on details of the tip.
Ragone was arrested on Oct. 19, and he is currently free on bond.
