Forest Park man busted in Hall County with $94k worth of meth

A Forest Park man was arrested Thursday on Sardis Road in Hall County for possession of two pounds of methamphetamine, valued at $94,600.

Hector Raul Serrato-Vazquez, 34, attempted to run from his vehicle when he was pulled over by Gainesville Police and Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad (MANS), dumping the meth into the roadway.

Officers recovered the drugs, according to Lt. Don Scalia with Hall County MANS, and arrested Serrato-Vazquez on charges of trafficking meth, abandoning a controlled substance and fleeing.

He was booked into the Hall County Jail.

Authorities said no additional charges or arrests are anticipated in the investigation.
