RABBITTOWN — The East Hall girls remained in second place in Region 7-AAA after nipping Dawson County 46-45 Saturday in a key Region 7-AAA makeup game from last week.
The Lady Vikings (10-7, 5-1 Region 7-AAA) led 13-8 after the first quarter and took a 25-18 lead into halftime. But Dawson County (5-13, 2-4) battled back in the second taking the lead several times in the fourth quarter but the Lady Vikings held on down the stretch.
It was the third straight region win for East Hall. The Lady Tigers have dropped three of their last four in the region.
Kaylee Sticker led Dawson County with 15 points. Calli Watson added 10 points for the Lady Tigers.
Both teams will be back in Region 7-AAA action on Tuesday. Dawson County next will play host to Class AAA No.1 Greater Atlanta Christian and East Hall will play host to North Hall.
