Softball: Chestatee rallies past Union Co. to stay unbeaten

MT. AIRY — Chestatee kept its unbeaten streak going in thrilling fashion Saturday scoring a pair of runs in the bottom of the eight inning to rally past Union County 3-2 Saturday at Habersham Central.

That game came after taking a 3-1 win over Habersham Central in the opening game.

The Lady War Eagles (12-0) led 1-0 after six innings but the Lady Panthers (4-7) scored a run in the seventh to tie the game and then took a 2-1 lead in the top of the eight.

Rebecca Eddins got the win going eight innings allowing two runs on three hits.Bailey Mason and Kala Sargent each had a hit and RBI for Chestatee.

Laken Chambers allowed six hits and three runs in seven innings for Union County.

In the first game for Chestatee, Beth Eddins got the win going the distance scattering six hits and fanning five in seven innings.

Hann Jones had two hits and two RBI and Danielle Ortega had one hit and one RBI for the Lady War Eagles.
