RABBITTOWN — East Hall jumped out to a 4-0 lead and then held on late to beat Union County 4-3 Thursday night in Region 7-AAA girls softball action.

The Lady Vikings (4-3, 3-1 Region 7-AAA) scored three runs in the second on a fielder's choice and a two-run single by Peyton Turner. They added another run in the third to push the lead to 4-0.

Union County (2-3, 1-3) climbed back in the game with a pair of runs in the fifth and cut the lead to 4-3 on an error in the seventh inning. The Lady Panthers had the tying run on base but Macy Banks, who went the distance, was able to get out of the jam to preserve the win.

Banks scattered five hits with no walks and all three runs were unearned.
