Hall County Fire Services officials had to respond to a woods fire a second time after it rekindled near a northwest Hall County subdivision Sunday.
Hall County Fire Captain Zachary Brackett said crews extinguished a fire near the Marina Bay subdivision, but were called back to the scene later in the afternoon to find two to three acres of those same woods involved in fire.
Brackett said the Army Corps of Engineers, the Georgia State Patrol Aviation Division and the Georgia Forestry Commission helped contain and then extinguish the blaze. He said the fire is believed to have been rekindled by spreading through roots in the woods.
