One person was injured after escaping a house fire near Gainesville Wednesday afternoon.
Hall County Fire Services Captain Zachary Brackett said crews were called to the home in the Rosewood subdivision off of Gaines Mill Road and found heavy flames coming from the building. Crews were able to extinguish the fire, as well as a woods fire that extended from the structure fire.
Brackett said the one occupant inside the home escaped but suffered injuries after falling. He said the blaze caused around $80,000 of damage.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
