Hall County Fire Services started Recruit Class 42 recently with 28 new personnel.
Over the next 12 weeks, the recruits will be instructed in fire suppression, vehicle extrication, and hazardous materials mitigation. Two of the new recruits have been on shift for the last two months, serving as paramedics.
Fire Chief Jeff Hood addressed the class as the training session started, emphasizing that the next 12 weeks would set the foundation for their future career. Following the completion of Recruit Class 42, the personnel will complete a 14-week Emergency Medical Technician school.
